7 Ways to Connect Today

That’s the song I sing when my human ignores me.

Once upon a time, they used to leave for work every day. But now? It’s just me. And while I know I’m a hoot, even I can tell that sometimes, they get lonely too.

Here’s the thing - humans need human connection. And if you’re feeling lonely, chances are, the person you’re thinking of reaching out to feels the same way.

So, I took matters into my own paws and made a list to help my human (and you) feel a little less alone:

  • Schedule a virtual coffee chat with a coworker. I know, it might feel weird, but just do it!

  • Try a coworking space, you might meet someone new!

  • Attend a local meetup for industry professionals.

  • Join a LinkedIn or Facebook group.

  • Text a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while and set a hangout date. Even if it’s months away, it gives you something to look forward to!

  • Virtual coworking! Ask a remote friend to work together over video.

  • Check in on a coworker. Ask them how life’s going—you might just make their day.
