Why work from the same spot every day?
Remote work doesn't have to feel like a 9-5
Welcome to REMOTivatEd, the newsletter that helps you thrive in the remote work world one actionable tip at a time!
Are you treating your remote job like a 9-5?
It’s okay if you do! (I know I’m guilty of it) It’s easy to fall into the same routines, even when you have the freedom to do things differently.
Signs you might be stuck in a traditional work mindset:
☑️ Sitting at your desk for long stretches without moving
☑️ Always taking lunch at the same time (noon?)
☑️ Working at a desk with an office chair
There’s nothing wrong with routine - until it starts feeling like a rut. Consider this your friendly reminder that you have the power to shake things up!
Try a Workday Remix
Sometimes, a simple change of scenery can reignite your energy and focus. Here are a few ways to switch things up today:
🏡 Without leaving your house:
Have a walking meeting (step outside and talk while you walk)
Take your laptop to the porch, backyard, or even a different room
🌍 If you’re up for an adventure:
Work from a cozy café or coffee shop
Try a local coworking space for a fresh vibe
Find a quiet nook at your library
Not only will trying new environments make things a bit more interesting for you, it can re-motivate you (ha, see what I did there?), and who knows, maybe you will find a new favorite spot!
💡 Bonus Tip: Walking is literally one of the most underrated productivity hacks. It relieves stress, sparks creativity, and even helps with problem-solving. So if you’ve been staring at the same screen for hours… go take a walk!

Hello humans!
Sometimes I suspect my human is secretly a robot.
Wake up, work, eat, repeat. It’s unnatural!
Have you ever woke up when the sun peeks through the windows? Have you ever put your bare feet in the grass? It tickles.
Maybe the cure to your robot-ness is fresh air and movement. If humans are anything like us dogs, you have natural instincts - and they’re probably begging you to go outside.
